Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg)
ComReg is the statutory body responsible for the regulation of the electronic communications sector (telecommunications, radiocommunications and broadcasting transmission) and the postal sector. Comreg has a special site for consumers called www.askcomreg.ie which provides information about telecommunications and the postal sector.
ComReg regulates Premium Rate Number Services through a strict code of practice which all service providers in Ireland must comply with. Compreg has a special site for consumers www.phonesmart.ie.

European Consumer Centre Ireland
ECC Ireland offers advice on consumer rights when buying goods or services in another European country. It can also mediate directly with a trader in another European country on your behalf if necessary. Its service is free and confidential.
ECC Ireland has been designated by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation as the only body to submit for Ireland an application for a European Consumer Centre framework partnership agreement under the EU Consumer Programme 2014-2020 covering the operations of the European Consumer Centre for Ireland for the period 2018-2021.

Advertising Standards Authority of Ireland
The ASAI is a self-regulatory body for the advertising industry. It will investigate complaints from any individual or body who considers that an advertisement or sales promotion may be in breach of its Codes of Advertising Standards and Sales Promotion Practices.
