SME Growth Taskforce
The Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Leo Varadkar TD, has recently convened an SME Growth Taskforce to design a National SME Growth Plan that will map out an ambitious long-term strategic blueprint beyond COVID-19.
The work of the Taskforce will conclude upon completion of the SME Growth Plan, a Programme for Government commitment, which will be brought to Government for approval as part of the National Economic Plan in November. Its work will be informed by the comprehensive OECD Report on SME and Entrepreneurship Policy in Ireland, which was published in October 2019.
The Taskforce will also have a small number of focused sub-groups with the capacity and expertise to develop actions in thematic areas. These sub-groups will examine themes such as Entrepreneurship; Productivity, Digitalisation and Competitiveness; Internationalisation; and Clustering and Networks.
