The European Commission under its Single Market Strategy have proposed the introduction of a Services Passport for providers of business services and construction services. The Services Passport will simplify the administrative procedures for service providers who want to expand to other EU countries.
As part of the Commission’s work in developing the Services Passport they have launched a public consultation and are seeking views from stakeholders, on the effect the administrative and regulatory procedures and insurance requirements have on their attempts to provide their services in other EU countries. The results of this consultation will provide invaluable input for the Commission in assessing the issues which the Services Passport will need to address.
